What is a Bail Bond Reinstatement?
Having a bail bond reinstated refers to a process by which a defendant who has failed to appear for court may have a bench warrant removed and the bail bond reactivated. In such cases, the defendant reports back to the court, thus allowing the court to set a new court date. While this may result in additional fees for the defendant or bail bond co-signer, it is very much preferable than avoiding court and becoming a fugitive.
